Pontocho Karyu

Kaiseki /Kyoto Washoku

Entering the tea house world within the alleyways.

Watching maiko-sans passing by is a enjoyable and distinct experience of Ponto-cho in Kyoto. Only a few people have the privilege to enter a tea house, but here at Karyu, we use the same building of a former tea house so that guests can enjoy the tea house atmosphere they long desired for. Inviting maiko-sans over is also an option. On the Yuka, you can enjoy our lavish Kyoto Kaiseki cuisine which seasonal ingredients and rich dashi.
