Pontocho Hyakuren

Izakaya / Creative / Homemade

Highly popular for its lavish menu that offers a wide variety of dishes from both Japanese and western cuisines.

Hyakuren is a popular Izakaya that opened in 2016 on the south side of the Kaburenjo theater and one with a terrific view that overlooks the Kamo River.
Its signature dish is the assortment of Kyoto pickles and this refreshing dish goes together perfectly with ice-cold beer. Another highly-popular item on the menu is the Spicy Beef Offal hotpot (1,600 yen per person, tax and table charge included) filled with vegetables and other fresh ingredients. Sashimi, steaks and other à la carte dishes from both Japanese and western cuisines are also available to be ordered from its lavish menu.
There is no additional charge for the use of the Yuka deck, which makes Hyakuren the perfect place for first-timers in Kyoto who want to try Yuka seating.
