Thai Cuisine Baan Rim Naam
Thai FoodThe restaurant name “Baan Rim Naam” translates to English as “house by the river.” This fashionable “Thai” style restaurant is located next to Kamo river in a Kyoto machiya or the traditional wooden townhouse of Kyoto. Enjoy authentic Thai cuisine of the restaurant’s chef from Thailand, which includes an abundance of various herbs utilized together in combination with the characteristic flavors of Thai cuisine (sweet, sour, salty and spicy). The restaurant is very selective about using fresh homegrown vegetables, herbs and various ingredients for its food, such as its green curry and salad. The tom yum soup is especially popular with customers. The menu also contains a wide selection of over 80 dishes on the menu. For those that are unsure what they want, we recommend getting riverside dining seats and trying the “Romyen Course.”
