Chinese FoodThe brilliant Baroque architecture was completed in 1926 and designed by the famous architect “William Merrell Vories” and in 1945 opened as the Chinese restaurant “Tōka Saikan.” It has the oldest elevator in existence in Japan and the same elegant charm as the day it was built, with such seats for guests in the vintage private room and banquet hall available for reservation. Riverside dining is available without extra charge, for reservations for a wide variety of occasions, from small a small number of guests, to a large-number of guests. Courses start at 5,500 yen and there is an assortment of a la carte dishes (around 1,500 yen per dish) available. Relax along the Kamo river and enjoy authentic Beijing cuisine and the ultimate mix of Japanese, Chinese and Western tastes.
