Ginsui
Kaiseki /Kyoto WashokuEstablished in 1937, riverside dining is available for courses such as the Nishi Ishigaki Course (starting at 5,000 yen). Using authentic and locally sourced Kyoto cuisine such as Ayu (sweetfish) and Parboiled Pike Conger, various original dishes are prepared such as Japanese-styled Vichyssoise soup-various types of dishes with a twist. The fried rumen and onion dipped in ponzu sauce is a popular item on the ala carte menu and the original cocktails using fresh fruits are also popular among customers. Ginsui is focused on providing delicious cuisine irrespective of “category” or type of food, all sorts of foods are served including foods such as rice omelet and cold noodles (available in summer) as well as other food that pair well with Japanese sake such as dried sea cucumber and dried mullet roe. Ginsui is the perfect place to enjoy delicious food and drink outside along the Kamo River during summer.
