Ponto-Cho Kappa SushiSushi
Being in Ponto-cho for 30 years, Kappa Sushi is still the only Sushi restaurant that is available on the riverside deck of Kamo river. At Ponto-cho Kappa Sushi, guests can enjoy a glamorous sushi feast while taking in the cool evening breeze and calming views next to Kamo river. The set menu includes an appetizer, and various dishes such as parboiled pike conger, grilled freshwater trout, hand-rolled sushi, and miso soup. Since the restaurant outside on the riverside deck is composed of table seating, guests may enter the area with their shoes on, making it easier to comfortably relax. An ala-carte menu is available for guests to order separately. The restaurant’s specialty is the “Edomae sushi”, where fresh seasonal ingredients are used. Sweet tile-fish sushi and Tuna are the dishes that come highly recommended. The sushi rice is made with Kyoto’s Chitori vinegar. Enjoy tasty sushi while taking in the scenic views of the Higashi mountain at Ponto-Cho Kappa Sushi.
